Spring Cleanse

There are still a few of spots left for a Relationship Cleanse at the most beautiful place on earth, Esalen, 3/28-30.

Shoots are beginning to sprout from the earth and buds are beginning to burst. The earth is changing position, drawing us closer to spring. Let nature act as inspiration this year as you take an active role of renewal in your life. Here are five ideas to get you started.

1. Journal
Start a journal and write freely for 10-15 minutes each morning. Finish each entry by listing 3 things that fill you with gratitude. Use those three thank-makers as anchors throughout the day.

2. Exercise
Your body needs to move. Emotions are chemical signals and exercise regulates body chemistry. Actively walk in daylight for 20 minutes everyday and you’ll notice a change. Be sure to have regular check ups with your physician; it is important to pay special care for your health at this time.

3. Nurture
Make an oasis for yourself at home. Create a sanctuary that will allow you to replenish. Use your space to relax, meditate, write, draw or read. Engaging in these tasks will restore your energy.

4. Retreat
Take a time out from the world and return to nature. A Relationship Cleanse is a powerful way to jumpstart your renewal. Clear away the past as spring blossoms in an idyllic setting such as the Esalen Institute in Big Sur.

5. Volunteer
Give at least an hour of your time to a worthy organization in your neighborhood. Helping others is a potent tool for helping yourself. Your generosity encourages a culture of gratitude in your life. Helping is healing.
